A lot of American politics are becoming clogged-up with these anti-PC numbnuts who think that Hitler and "are traps gay" jokes are still funny, and all Tom does is stoke the fire that does nothing but keep us burning. Tom is, to put it bluntly, catering to 15-year-old racist white kids who think that saying it's just a joke makes them exempt from any consequences. Except that shit doesn't happen outside of Twitter debates where everyone involved has the collective IQ of a Taco Bell-induced shart. Straight White Male is a song where Tom says that LGBT people, women, and people of color are opressing and silencing straight white men like Tom for not being gay, black, or female. Maybe that song was just kind of a joke or a vent, right? Let's look at Straight White Male, a more recent song that. Of course, he goes about this admittedly-decent concept in all the worst ways, screaming his way through the chorus while basically saying that he can't be accused of racism because he says he's not racist and that accusing whites of racism is bad because. In theory, it's a pretty decent song, with themes of telling white people that it's not right if they're called racist for not being a person of color, and telling people of color that accusing all whites of racism is fucked-up.
Let's look at his song WHITEBOY, one dealing with (you guessed it) Tom being a white boy. What isn't fine and well is the fact that Tom's opinions are thinly veiled racism, sexism, and homophobia that he hides behind the shit excuse of "it's just a joke". He's also heavily anti-PC culture, as many of his songs accuse others of being "too sensitive".Īll that is fine and well, since an opinion's an opinion and such. A lot of his music, at least his more popular music, deals with his views on politics, race, and equality. Tom is, plain and simple, a political artist. Tom MacDonald is a YouTube rapper (i use the term lightly) who recently got a fair bit of traction thanks to two big songs Straight White Male and Lethal Injection, a diss track to another YouTube rapper, Mac Lethal.
